El Atelier’s Location

Peru is one of the world’s most biodiverse countries, encompassing the driest desert on the planet, the Atacama, the Amazon Rain Forest, often called the lungs of the planet, and the high-reaching Andes Mountains. We lived on the dry desert coast of Northern Peru, an hour’s drive south of Ecuador where we ran our pipe yard, and this is where El Atelier began. As my children grew, we wanted them to finish their education in the U.S., so El Atelier’s second workshop opened when the family moved to Houston. "
